The Story of Barbara's Blue U.N. Dress

Once upon a time, while visiting in Haiti, Barbara told me that she would join the United Nations Security Forces if she had a blue U.N. Fatigue material dress. For all who know Barbara, she only wears blue dresses. Some of the U.N. troops in Haiti wear uniforms made of blue fatigue material...thus the comment that Barbara had made about her joining the U.N. if they would give her a blue fatigue dress....

So, when she was in the U.S. dropping off one of the adopted angels, I sent a package with the needed blue Military Fatigue material to the family's home. I let the mom know that she had to take photos as Barbara was opening the package....and she did.


Here is the second photo, as she is realizing what is inside the package...

Subsequently, Barbara had a dress made of the material and has been wearing the dress with pride. I need a photo of her in her U.N. dress!

Mind you, I am still waiting for her to sign her name up for the U.N...... :-)
